Now you must be thinking, "Brittany, you didn't have the confidence to write?! That's preposterous, wot wot!" while you puff on your pipe in a regal robe pretending to read War and Peace. And I can understand your utter shock that I would not be writing when of COURSE it is my calling! (Not the church kind) Well my good man or woman *puff, puff* this book has taught me that I am allowed to write poorly! No one told me that before! And now you must be throwing down your extremely heavy War and Peace on to your tender big toe and saying, "Bloody hell!" And then looking at me like I'm insane and saying, "Egad, my good woman! You can't be serious!" *puff, puff* But yes it is true. In the words of Anne Lamott, I am allowed to write a "shitty first draft." Huzzah and wot wot!

So hopefully I'll get back into my writing and write something beautiful and be amazing and all that.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to sit on my chair in my dormitory in sweats next to Patrick Henry, my fish, and pretend to read my math book and suck on my camelback water bottle. Not nearly as sophisticated but we can't all be British!
