Romantic Era, Employee, and Castle
My classes are going great! I love my English book! It's all about the Romantic Period of literature and it's so interesting to learn
about how the world issues affected the famous writers of the age and their writing! I have realized, however, that I really need to learn more about the French Revolution because I know almost nothing about it. Have any info? That'd be super! Math is pretty darn easy but that's because I technically took that class last semester. And failed. Cause I didn't go to class. Don't judge me. I'm doing better now!
My mom's birthday is coming up! I have no idea what to get her. She says that I should just put the money I have into savings but I was a really big brat to her last year on her birthday and I feel like I need to make up for it... But maybe I'll just get a candy bar and do something nice for her. Ideas?
And now for a segment I'd like to return to called, Random Word of the Day! (Here's a link to the generator I use to generate a random word.)
Today's random word is: Employee. (Just in case you're confused, I generate a random word and then respond to it.)
Ugh, I need a job. Badly. If anyone who is reading this lives in Utah Valley and needs a babysitter, call me! I've applied tons of places and only one person has called me back and I didn't get the job cause he said he'd call back and it's been like two weeks... Oh well...
I feel like reviewing something! If you have any ideas for a band, a song, a movie, a TV show, a YouTube show, or a video game that you'd like me to review, let me know. This is a very interactive blog! Help me to help you to help me help you...help...me you...etc...

Anyways. I'm going to review the show Castle today.
If you've never seen the show, here's a brief synopsis. It's about a bestselling, suave, and debonaire author named Richard Castle who writes mystery crime novels. In the very first episode, Castle has just killed off his bestselling character and has hit the dreaded writers block. He has no idea what to write about next. At the same time, a homicide detective named Kate Beckett has discovered a serial killer who is killing people the same way Castle kills people in his book. Castle is called into the precinct to talk to the detectives about the murders in case he knows anything or anyone. Castle is intrigued by the inner workings of a real investigation so he tags along and constantly irritates Detective Beckett. At the end of the episode, Castle has helped solve the murder mystery, joined Beckett's investigations until further notice, and thought up a new female protagonist for his stories.
This show combines two things I love: writing and a good mystery. The characters are all very charismatic. Richard Castle, played by Nathan Fillion, is a charmer. Fillion plays the role of a womanizer and a brilliant investigator very well. Stana Katic, who plays Detective Beckett, is a workaholic with something to prove and stick up her...well, you know. She's quite the sour puss and never does anything for herself (the exact opposite of Castle) but is very good at her job. And of course, there's the ever-so-tangible romantic tension between the two partners. Opposites attract, right? Even the side characters are charming! Castle lives with his schoolaholic daughter, played by Molly C. Quinn, and wise but cougar-like mother, played by Susan Sullivan and both of them are delightful.
The cases themselves are very intriguing. None of them are ever very boring or predictable, much like a good murder mystery novel. I've read many reviews that say that Castle is a writer's show, and that's definitely true! If you love writing, you'll love this show! If you love a good murder mystery, you'll love this show! If you're sick of predictable crime shows, you'll love this show. Check it out on sidereel.com! It's where I watch all my shows that I keep up with.
So there you have it! A nice long blog post to read through. You're welcome.
Love,
Brit

Oh, and you ARE blogging more often. I like it.
Have you thought about getting a paper route? I know it is a weird idea, but the whole 2:00 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. thing is not really that bad of a deal, you know?
