Prom 2009
Prom this year was so so so so SO fun. I went with my boyfriend, Robert Eklof, shown above, obviously. We've been dating for nine months as of the 27th of May and, though we sometimes fight like a married couple and have our differences, we are still very happy together.
So first we did our little photo shoot, courtesy of my best friend Megan Rooker's, shown right, mom Millie. She does this kind of photography all the time and it was way fun.

This was all of course after we bought the dress, altered the dress, bought the tickets, bought the pictures, bought the shoes, bought the jewelry, dyed the hair, re-did the nails, styled the hair, did the make up, wrestled the dress, threw on the shoes, and ran out the door.
Anywho, Robert drove me, Megan, and her date and boyfriend, Jerremy, all to The Training Table in Salt Lake. This is the most ghetto Training Table in the state and it rocked. We walk in with our pretty hair and dresses and handsome tuxedos and a sign says "Please seat yourself." This is going to be awesome.
We sit down and by now every hick in the place is staring at us but we're so hungry, we don't even care. There's a phone in the booth where we sit and I'm just staring at it like, "Uh...what's that for?" Jerremy explains that you pick up the phone when you want to order. Wow. G-H-E-T-T-O. So we go through the menu and take forever to pick out just what kind of burger we want. Especially because I'm way too excited about the whole phone ordering thing. But finally

we all pick what we want and I pick up the phone. There's silence for a moment and then someone asks for my order. This is so convenient! I relay my burger and fries order and pass the phone to Robert who passes it to Megan who passes it to Jerremy and then we hang up the phone and wait. About ten minutes later, the phone rings! Dude! This is SO cool! The boys stand up to go get our food and pay for it. Me and Megan gab about how hot our boyfriends are and are still giggling when two very confused boys sit down and hand out the goods. Though the place was amazingly ghetto, the food was heavenly. I couldn't breathe afterwards (the dress was tight to begin with) but it was SO worth it.
So then we drove to the capital and were very irritated to learn that the route that MapQuest had so graciously mapped out for us was under construction so we would have to wander around trying to find where we were supposed to be going. Robert got VERY frustrated and I struggled to keep him sane until we arrived.
We were one of the first couples to arrive since we didn't have to wait long for our dinner so me and Robert got our actual prom picture shot, which is cute and I'll have to upload it. Then we spent the rest of the night mingling and chatting with people and then we went and got some ice cream and went home.
Oh, funny story! There was a girl at the dance with a dress just like mine only orange and she gave me the dirtiest looks! There was one point where we were walking towards each other and I had to move or she would've bowled me over! Talk about drama!
Thanks to all of you who are actually interested in my blog and I apologize for not getting another post out sooner!
Hugs and kisses,
Brit
